ACT Test—How much does it cost?

Hey guys, I need to take the ACT soon and was wondering how much it costs? Also, if anyone knows if there are fee waivers available, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks!

Hey there! The cost of taking the ACT depends on whether you choose to take it with or without the Writing section. As of now, the ACT without Writing costs $68, while the ACT with Writing costs $93. There may be additional fees for different services, such as late registration or standby testing. You can find a detailed breakdown of ACT fees on their website: https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/registration/fees.html

As for fee waivers, they are available for eligible students who meet specific criteria for financial need, such as being enrolled in a federal free or reduced-price lunch program at school. Fee waivers typically cover the basic registration fees for the ACT (with or without Writing) and offer other benefits like sending score reports to colleges for free.

To obtain a fee waiver, you'll need to consult your high school counselor, who can guide you through the process and provide the necessary documentation. Keep in mind that fee waivers are limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to inquire about it as early as possible.

Good luck with your ACT preparation and testing!
